Lovely example mate, can't see the point in abusing it with yanking the handbrake like your in a rally....

haha yeah I did think some people wouldn't be too impressed with that, but like Andy said at the end of the day I paid my hard earned money for it so I can do whatever I like with it :) To be fair I never normally do that, I just thought seeing as we were on an empty bit of road and had the camera with us it would be fun - and it was :) Also you don't very often see people messing about like that in a car that cost them £27k, so I quite enjoy making daft videos like that with it. Each to their own :)

Oh and to all the people mentioning the Cupra R with the body kit - yeah apparently that isn't done very often as when I ordered it there was all sorts of confusion from the dealer about how the exhausts would look (i.e. whether or not it would be the normal Cupra R central twin pipes or the split twin pipes like you'd get on any other Leon with the body kit). Also annoyingly the front grill that comes with the body kit is not the cross hatch mesh one that you'd normally get on a cupra or an FR and therefore the R badge won't stay on it. Also you lose the 3 air intake hole things under the front grill that you'd normally only get on a Cupra R. So from the front it looks identical to an FR with the body kit, which is a shame but I'm still glad I got the body kit because in my opinion the regular Cupra R doesn't look much different to a bog standard Leon to anyone that doesn't know a lot about Leons and Cupras.

Maybe I am mistaken then. I was always under the impression that a true k1 (as in rolled out the factory like it) was a R with the kit

A Cupra R is a post-facelift Cupra with a remap (+25hp), a bigger intercooler, bigger (19") wheels and twin pipe centred exhaust.

A K1 is a pre-facelift Cupra with an Aero/BTCC body kit and oval centred exhaust.

So, they are both essentially pre or post facelift Cupras.

Thats why I bought mine, because its not in your face trying to look fast!!
each to their own though and if everyone was the same, life would be boring!!

Yeah exactly each to their own :) and that's why they offer the body kit as an optional extra

I don't have a problem with it, it's just my opinion.... As you said it was an empty piece of road wih no one around ;). I was just shocked to see you doing it to like I said "a fine example" and as you said "a car that cost them £27k" lol :)

lol yeah I know what you meant and don't get me wrong I wasn't offended or saying you were wrong to have that opinion. I appreciate most people probably wouldn't like to do that with their Cupra R, but like I said that's half the reason why I enjoy making videos like that (which I know might not make much sense to some people but hey lol). Currently saving up for a used Audi R8 and looking forward to messing around in that even more :D

Nice video!

This what I said to my younger brothers. If you can afford to buy it you should have the cash to drive it. There is a big diffrent in buying something and owning it.

And about the handbrake.. it can give flatspots on the tire ;)

Yeah exactly, and I knew full well that it would wreck the tyres but I can afford a new pair so I don't mind lol I'd rather have fun and have to buy some new tyres than not have fun and save myself a bit of money :)

Wait, so do you have the R diffuser and exhaust? Can't really tell in the video as there's no close up of the back. Could you take a picture of the back?

Great video btw. Put together really well. Loving the white wheels on white too!!

Oh and there's another very short video of the car here from when I was just testing the camera and slider setup if anyone's interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLEsJysRdvM&list=UUo746yUOUCDHfT_1uzXPAwg&index=4

Off to some kind of car meet on Sunday (one of my friends told me about it, so not quite sure what to expect or how big its going to be) so might have some videos from there next week too if there's any nice cars around :)

I'm not sure what its called to be honest, its in Molton apparently (wherever that is...). I'm in grimsby n apparently its about an hour away from us

Yes, it's the same meet, centred around a porsche specialist , you won't be disappointed , go early tho , that's when the good cars turn up..... Use the bridge also ,it's a lot quicker, don't get sucked into racing porsche turbos either, there a few police kicking about...... Btw I'm from cleethorpes .
