vw oil filter 1.8t

hi i have used the search engine and not a lot is coming up.
im currently on my way back to halfords to get oil and oil filter but they do not have any oil filters for a leon cupra 1.8turbo on a yr 2000 ,am i right in thinking that the vw golf turbo is exacly the same ?? as they have that in stock

oil filter for my leon cupra 2003 auq engine is a Mann filter W719/30 £4.95 form GSF . probably not the same engine code as yours but GSF will tell you what filter is for your car. you need to register first with them to look at the catalogue that should tell what filter you need.
