I really am. I'm not sure how people manage to keep motivated for months and months off the road. I hope that it'll be back together within the next month

Boring update - I made a start to cleaning up the bay

The worst of the dirt is off. Time to strip everything out now and clean and paint a few more bits

What are the 6 plates in the middle.
I'm doing a service on mine tomorrow, I might pop into VW's in the morning and pick up the bits for the gear box

They are the shims/washers for below the bolt heads on the inner CV Joint/Diff output flange. If you get them you'll want the bolts too, they're stretch bolts.

Some more slow progress - The engine is going back in proper next weekend :rthumb:

Got a nice deal on some new tyres


Started building things back up



Painted a few more bits



Got the rest of the aux set up to paint and refit this week, box to paint, and then I'm off for a couple of days to get it all built back up

Thanks. Theres a few bits I'm not 100% happy with but I've kinda stopped bothering as much coz I'm desperate to get it on the road. And I know I can go back and fix any wee niggles later
