W8 light wiring problem

I just recently fitting the mk4 golf w8 light into my lc and all went well apart from now the airbag light it lit up all the time. Have i wired something up wrong here?

At the dimmer switch connector which wire do i connect the new one to from the light.

Not too sure what you mean. If you mean which wire to connect to to tap in to the dimmer behind the switch it's the number 17 grey wire with blue stripe. See this guide: http://www.11tkp.co.uk/w8-light-install.htm

it says go into the back of the dimmer switch.

The dimmer wire is on the back of the headlight switch but that's interesting because the No.17 grey with blue that I tapped in to definitely dims my W8 light when I use the dimmer dial. I cannot vouch for what that red wire is in Pab's guide. Some people go directly into the headlamp wire because they say the W8 light is brighter from it, however, someone should be able to confirm what that red wire is!

I cannot vouch for what that red wire is in Pab's guide.

IIRC the red wire is where he connected his boost guage to the dimmer. Photo caption says connect to the same wire that the red one is connected to.

I've now changed the wire over to the number 17 on the headlight switch and and now the w8 light dims with the dimmer dial so that's now sorted
Just need to sort out the airbag light now has that's still on, looks like a trip to the local vagcom garage.

Once the airbag light is on ( did you remove the glovebox? ) it won't go off until reset.

no never did remove the glove box but i think i may of knocked some thing on the fuse box. Hopefully all will be sorted tomorrow.
