If i had a millteck dp and sport cat and custom pipework to the back with no muffler, allards race pipe, an uprated sachs clutch and a upgraded aggressive map?

considering mines a "Mild" map! lol

it was funny the other day had a little run with a scooby 03 wrx and blasted him, pulled up to lights he winds down window " bloodly hell that flys what engine you got?" his mate leans over and says " is it a diesel?" lights turn green i fly off him chasing, next lights i say " yes mate it is :)" " lol entertainment.....
i've had fun with this little tractor ...hence why having second thoughts about selling her :)

what would you replace her with?

I tune a lot of the Ibiza diesels, and they are impressive cars.

Dont sell it mate. Im thinking exactly the same as you now. New DP etc Uprated Clutch and a very aggresive Map.

Not sure we'd get much more than what were on at the moment to be honest though. Couple more BHP, probably a bit more torque, but would it be smooth?

My 2p:

sod the cat [costs a lot and you can put a piece of straight pipe instead of it, which is way better], sod the race pipe else you won't get the anti-shuddering function on engine turn off [the antishudder valve is in the EGR assembly and you don't want to feck up the engine mounts with shudder - see recent egr thread in this section], having saved money with these, I'd buy a bigger IC [the 160 is almost a straight bolt on] which you'll need cos raising the pressure will dramatically increase the intake temps,,,
I honestly think that the "aggressive" map will get the pressures out of the turbo tolerances and if you don't buy a better turbo you'll end up with a broken one,,,

go for bigger turbo and injectors then an agressive map mate ;) you know that makes sence :D

If you have a stock exhaust at the moment and do not intend to get a hybrid turbo i would keep the standard down pipe and just replace the cat with a straight piece of pipe then fit the exist with no muffler. On a standard turbo an uprated down pipe is not needed simple as that and a sports cat is a complete waste of a few hundred pounds.Cost of a milltek DP with sport cat about £260 bhp gained minimum. Cost of a decat fitted while getting your exhaust made about £40 work it out for yourself. Allard race pipe again without a hybrid turbo waste of money. Sashs or Helix clutch well with a fcuked clutch your cars going nowhere so if it`s slipping get a new one if it`s not then don`t. Getting another map well if you have already got Revo/Jabba/CC/P-torque your not going to get much better then that from a stock turbo basically.

actually i think i'll leave it how it is...lol it pulls soo well..

but i think i new clutch and either de cat or de muffle would finish it off....i'm silly asking the question cos i already know the answer....lol

would have to do injectors and turbo at same time to make it worth while any one got £2500.. hehe... but think i would get 1.8t if i wanted to get big bhp!

p.s devon boy when you getting your beast down the pod??

It will not be this month as it`s up at Allards getting phase 2 fitted along with some NOS. Its a good four hour drive for me down up to santa pod and if something goes bang a long way to get towed home. I would also want somebody else to do the run as i have never done anything like that before and would be totally shite. Maybe if i could talk Steve Cane into doing it for me i might pop up one day.

hehe not even speed limits, and only just starting on safety camera's...not speed camera's positioned at traffic lights which flash people when they go thru a red light! fixed notices from the police come thru your letter boxes!!! it's ace...NOT

still wouldn't mind a rolling road test, and a proper race track day out!!! would be well good for us Isle of Man peeps
