if you are thinking about cupra or vxr id say take a remapped vxr out for a spin, they're awsome, nearly bought one myself but decided to do the 'sensible' thing, ha. Iv driven a lot of them as i work for vauxhall and a stage 2 vxr with a miltek is putting out close to 290bhp, a lot of power for the money. If you go on www.thorneymotorsport.co.uk you can find a list of vx dealers with demo's to test drive, usually stage 1 or 2.

That said the VX's are amazing to drive, amazing to be in.
However from someone thats owned one he said he'd never every buy one again as they were just so ridiculously uneconomical.

well after some long thought i am keeping my cupra. took a test drive in a vxr to tell the truth i was wee bit disappointed nice car nice to drive but i thought it would be alot quicker than what it was. I know a remap would sort this out but decided to keep my wee cupra. Ive spoke to the old owner of my car and he said that its a power box thats in my car so Ive decided to get a remap from star to see if it will put down the power more evenly as mines is severe bottom. star reckon they can get about 190bhp with 300 torque! whats the next step i can take for a bit more break.
