I'll stick some photos up when i get home from work, if I can work out how to do it.

It looks in pretty good nik from the photos i've got, find out tomorrow night hopefully.

Thanks for the photo does look pretty tidy example...Bet you cant wait to go and view it tomorrow. How far away is it from you?

be aware dealer warranty is only 2 years as standard.

I know with Audi & VW all cars when new come with 3 years warranty. Then you get a choice after the 3years to extend it. Thought Seat would of been the same.

Haha i was the same when i owned my first fast car my old A3 2.0tfsi (200bhp) i loved it!
What your insurance like? Sorry if you dont mind me asking how old are you? Also if its a private sale ask the guy to book the car into a seat dealer for a health check, so you will know if it has any faults or none.

I'm 27 and I've had a quote for just under £700, but that doesn't include the remap, but it does include breakdown cover and courtesy car, thats with Aviva. I'm considering having the map taken off if I buy it so I don't have to declare it. Spoken to Morego and they charge an hours labour, which is about £65!

Any ideas how much they charge for these 'health checks'?

I pay around £750 for insurance thats with all mods both on and planned declared that inludes the map etc and they get covered in the event of a claim, thats for a PE postcode too kept on a driveway. I thought for some reason it was going to be miles away but as it turns out its almost a local car to me ( peterborough)

Not bad price have you tried admiral there normally quite good and cheap. If you did declare it wont cost that much more i believe. Always good to have breakdown cover and courtesy car. Wish my insurance on a car like that be that cheap.

The health check would be free covered under warranty. You can phone a dealer with the reg number and they should be able to tell you how much longer you have left with warranty. The day i picked up my old A3 (Jan 09) on a 56 plate i phoned Audi told me it still have warranty in till the September 09. Could discuss the health check with the seller tomorrow should be no reason for him or her to decline it....

I believe with Seat the warranty is 2 yrs Manufacture and 1 year Dealer, but this is for UK cars only (not imports).

Top idea, I'll ring a dealer in the morning and see what they say about the warranty and I'll have a look on admiral see what they offer, though Aviva are the cheapest by about £100. So far and I've done all the comparison sites, Direct Line and Churchill, even gave Adrian Flux a ring! As for the break down cover, I have to have it as part of the company car rules!

Is Peterborough a bad area area for car insurance then? £750 seems pretty reasonable, what other mods have? The only things I'd consider are the Seat side skirts and spoiler and a nice double din stereo!

Aviva may be the cheapest then mate. But worth a try... Becareful with some comparision websites as it works out more than it would if you went on the company website and got a quote. Also try Greenlights they will try and beat your best quote!

Well I’ve spoken to my local dealer in Leicester and they’ve confirmed that the car has warranty till Oct 31st 2010, which is good news.

As for Greenlight, they only offer insurance if you’ve had your own insurance and not company car insurance like myself!

Aww well good news and bad news. Still over a year of warranty left which is good. What is Seat attitude towards remaps? If you want to keep the remap just see how much extra it cost with aviva. What time about you going to see the car?
