So, I finally did my doors, guide was excellent.
Interestingly I found that one of the rear doors had previously been done, but in a very half arsed way (very little sealant and only one door)
I also got a small waterfall emerge from one of the back doors where water had obviously been collecting in the door card!
Two things to add which helped me a bit.
#1 - I'd advise getting some white spirit, it's useful for cleaning up around the old seals for both taking the old one off and evaporating residual water left in the seal if you're not lucky enough to have a garage to do it in, or somewhere dry to leave your car for a couple of days out of the rain.
Also useful if you smear sealant anywhere you didn't mean to!
#2 - When taking the door cards off, there is a bit of force required to pop the door clips off, working from the bottom is a good plan and the tendency is to lift out and upwards. Make sure on the front doors you lift OUT rather than UP. I lifted more up that I needed to and when the the clip unpopped I broke the plastic triangle which sits of the front bottom corner of the window
I think I may need to get a new one, but for the time being I superglued it on and it seems to have held for the time being, touch wood!

if water is collecting in the rear passenger footwell and a drip of water felll down from between the accelarator pedal and brake pedal then what is the problem?
SEAT say they could not give me an estimate price until they view the car and at £75+VAT an hour i bet they want an hours pay of my just to tell me whats wrong, so can you guys help.

Bulkhead seal or could be where the loom enters the car, that seal is the same crap as the doors.

Ok so is it likely that its not anythign else? if you are right how long would this take me? what would it cost? and how much would you think a garage would charge?
High possibility, although there is a hole around under there too that the sealant missed after the panels were welded.
If it is just the box it's wipers off remove the cover then it's there.
As for the other possible hole, there are some pics floating about.

thats good white dove seat cardiff said it was £100+vat /hr , they would need it for at least a day or two to test it and get to the bottom of the water trouble , thought rite ho , il pop down tuesday after Never
read this guide and though balls to it im not spending that kind of money and sorted it myself , (back two doors ) still have a little trouble hense i thought tigerseal
might just buy some more super duper mastic and re do all 4

thanks for this Andy. i done my front side and rear passengers door a few weeks ago and havent had a leek since it cost me £3 and about 1hour of well spent time, definitely glad i didn't go to the "stealers"

Just follow the guide step by step and get the genuine sealant from seat dealer.
Once the door panels off, unscrew the panel holding the window handle and it comes of about an inch and just put the sealant which is like play dough into the grooves that are already then. tighten the panel and it squeezes the sealant and stops the rain.
Then pull the carpets back and put newspaper down to soak it all up. Keep swapping the newspaper until your happy its dry.

Used about half a tube of sealant on each door, took about 45mins per door but we was taking our time and stripping off the old foam seal etc.
Noticed on one of the doors the last owner had cut out holes in the rubber around the drainage holes.. wondering if i should do the same on the other 3 doors?
