Water temp sensor location?

Well my water temperature gauge in my car doesn't work too well so I have bought a new one and I am going to check all the wiring at the same time.

The only thing is a canni find it!! Anybody care to point me in the right direction?

Also if I replace it am I going to loose alot of coolant?

should be on the right hand side of the engine, sticking into a coolant outlet from the block.

Have some coolant spare if youre changing it and with a cold engine as it will piss all over you.

Cheers. Got it changed. Will find out if it has fixed it tomorrow. Need to change the coolant as it looked minging!

On another note no coolant comes out at all

Nah when i've done mine only a little came out, Fingers crossed it's sorted it mate

Hopefully it has sorted it because I checked over the wiring and it all seemed to be ok. I mean it did work sometimes with the old sensor... So don't know weather it will be a new sensor that will sort it as if it went I would have thought it would just go.

i got mine from the dealer, bit pricier than anywhere else, but i already had a replacement from somewhere else in and that failed....

Well it worked! Weird driving and the temperature gauge working! Seemed to take an age to heat up!

Need to change the coolant, but first on the list tonight is the window regulator!

Good news that its sorted it mate, i need to change mine as the gauge works sometimes but now and again it drops down to 0 or wont work so hoping by changing this it will sort it for me aswell.

Well that's pretty much what mine was doing, propressively staying longer at 0... When I took it out it was covered in crap.

5 minute job once you find out where it is!

I got mine changed in the end on monday and the car feels like it goes better and im getting an extra 4-7 mpg which is nice oh and it fixed the gauge problem
