Hi guys,

Going to go for a fixed rate kit and I'm aware that KW and Weitec are the same company, are these kits identical or would there be a difference?

They look pretty similar and the range of both offer identical drops just a different colour, although they look the same is the qaulity of the Weitecs up to the KW there's about £60 difference.

I'm just wanting to get the look I want while I save for some v3's or Bilstein's

any input greatly recieved. :)

I think that KW make their dampers from some sort of rust proof material, perhaps not stainless steel in this case (like the coilovers) though. IIRC, Weitecs have some sort of rust proof coating on them but the metal itself isn't corrosion resistant and in cases where the AP brand comes into it, has no rust proofing at all. Performance wise I doubt that there's a different at all and seeing as you're planning on spending mega money on track spec suspension, i'd go for the Weitecs.

The internals and raw materials on the KW is slightly better quality over the Weitecs, if budget allows push to the KW.

Think ill go for the KW's may be a while before i get Bilsteins as i have a few other engine mods i want to do that will zap my cash you never know may end up keeping the set up, Ive had KW products before and always been blown away by the comfort and performance.:D

Good choice! Give me a shout if you'd like any prices.

KW's are fully galvanised and wont rust, hence I went for this setup on my old Leon

highly recommend getting the KW's as the build quality is exceptional

Hi Damien, wanted to get your opinion on the ARB set up for a LCR. Would you recommend changing the front also or just get the 24mm Whiteline RARB? I am thinking for more fast road use, hardly any track to be honest so don't want to go over kill!

Cheers

I had the 25mm Neuspeed front ARB and the 28mm rear Neuspeed ARB

best modification I ever did. Better than the coilovers IMO and worth every penny

Thanks mate, I have heard about the front 25 and rear 28 being a mad mod but a pricey one for sure. Wanted to see what it would be like with just the rear changed for something like a 24mm one!

I tend to think that you need to do both to balance it up, so there is not too much of an increase in understeer or oversteer

I found though with the 25 in the front and the 28 on the rear, this caused more over steer, but very controllable, especially around roundabouts

the ARB's turned the handling into a go kart style. You wont be disappointed. Its a pricey mod but the general consensus from what I have seen on here is most say its the best modification they have done

I your just wanting to improve handling and reduce understeer then I'd say the Whiteline 24mm bar is one of the most cost effective modifications you can do.
