I cant understand why i have a wet patch by my clutch pedal on the mat, Its only where my foot stays before changing gears. Its no where else, just in that one spot.

can anyone shed some light on why this could be?

yeah, radiator coolant... if it's not used any it's not that, and thinking about it it'd stink and there would more thank likely be steam if the matrix was playing silly buggers...

is it water or some other fluid... get down there and have a sniff!!

did you go through water?
Have you checked your grommit for bonnet catch, thiat leads to drivers side footwell near the accelrator.

Im also using that for my vacum line entry, but have no leak, have a look by the wipers, then remove the corner side panel just under the bonnet relase cable, check for dampness.

Try doing a quick search "driver side water" may get some more suggestion and possibilties of other entry points

Check and keep your eye on the brake fluid level
Its possible that the seal on the pedal could be leaking brake fluid past it
Brake fluid is a PITA to check BTW
Is your clutch pedal coming back to neutral position quickly and easily

yeh its fine, ive checked the hose entry and its not with the cable release its been drilled by the wiring loom on the rubber housing so ive sealed it with silicone just in case, wont find out til it rains next

I got water there from the pollen filter but mostly in the passenger side it was when it was hammering it down!! few month back. maybe ur car is playing silly buggers teach him a lesson(give it a good talking 2)
