Yesterday I fit a battery box to tidy my engine bay up, mudflaps for winter, APR boost tap, Nomad racing pillar pod and boost gauge.

Went for a spin today to see what boost my car was making don't know if its right or not but APR stage 1 peak boost at 22-23 psi and dropping to 17-18 psi at the redline. My numbers might be a little out as I could only look briefly as I had to keep an eye on the road.

More pics of boost gauge, pillar pod, mudflaps and battery box in my reader ride thread here http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=387644

Isn't this strange.
You bought my old boost gauge and pod and APR tap and fitted back to the same car:)
I'll need to see if I can find the video of what it made on stage 2 APR.
I'm sure it peaked at 26 psi and held about 22psi.

Bought a rattle can in citrus, some and some new backing sticker stuff for my tdi badges for refitting once sprayed up.

Opened the bonnet to take my grille off and I was greeted with this..rust.. Around the seal of a pipe going into the turbo.

Kinda worried.

Lol it's not?
Please, enlighten me then mate... I thought that was it as there looks like what I could only describe as a big down pipe underneath.

Little technical knowledge, winging it, just trying to get reassurance that my rusty engine part type thing is ok

That's the charge pipe coming from the intercooler into the manifold flap or throttle body which connects to one half of the egr valve. I say one half of the egr valve because I was pricing a valve, with tps, at the back of the engine on an azv engine that bolts up to the egr cooler and he referred to it as an egr valve. So one part of the egr system is at the back of the engine and the other is at the front.

Pulled up outside HIDs direct and just as I did I got a bulb error light! Rear number plate bulb had gone. Got two new sidelight bulbs and put them in my number plate lights so all sorted.
Also got a set of 6000K D1S bulbs.

Have I miss understood that or have you fitted sidelight bulbs in your numberplate light housings?

I knew someone would pick up on that haha. I've scotchlocked sidelight bulbs inside my bumper so that the LED number plate bulbs didn't error. One of the scotchlocked bulbs went out so I got an error :)
