Ah right yeh I know that in conjunction with a remap you can get it upto 208bhp. But just thought that you had seen an increase in performance coz you only sayed about a dpf removal and still managed to keep up with other cars lol

Aye mate, it's pure guesswork on my part, just based on how it goes. It was a mate that drives a big beemer that first thought it had been mapped, he reckoned it felt more powerful than his car. I need to get it onto a dyno to be sure, but I'm happy enough with it for now.

I'm confused (not hard I know), so the DPF delete has been undeleted?

If this is the case then how would there be any performance increase noticed if the part is still there?

I must be missing something obvious here lol

Again, as I understand it, you can get rid of the dpf altogether, and replace it with just a pipe. That's an mot fail. The other way is cut it open, remove the internals, re-weld and re install it. That's a pass, cos the tester just has to see that it's there, that's what's been done on mine, as far as I can make out.

There's a place near me that keeps the dpf in place but removes all internals/filter elements. So MOT testers think it's really there and working fine.

Is that not a delete then? Surely just leaving the carcass in doesn't class as "having a DPF"

Correct but as the mot regs are there is only a visual check. So might aswell gut the original weld it back up engine side refit it, map it DPF out and get it remapped.

No point with a delete pipe as they fail mots.

Just took a drive into town and saw this :(

Some poor bloke in a K1/FR BTCC (couldn't tell from where I was) had some knob in an s-line A3 pull out infront of him. Gutted for you.
