Got my car back. :) Needs a final machine polish but pleased with it. So good to have it back.

Fitted flyeyes on the rear lights yesterday and the front today was a bit tricky to do but pleased with the results. Just waiting on my Triple R splitter and heko wind deflectors to arrive.

I used to think the same about the white dust when using SRP but you don't get any with the new SRP, used it for the first time a few weeks ago and no dust, it works great followed with the extra gloss protection

May get some of the new stuff then. The dust really annoyed me when using it previously!

That's why i didn't like the old stuff, it was a friend who told me the new stuff is different and you don't get any dust and he was right, none at all and i think it's even better than the old stuff, gives a much better gloss finish.

I have Poorboys black hole, which is made for dark cars. I love that stuff, plus it smells nice and leaves no dust at all.

Finally fitted my ttrs brake set up,

So cheap and so good! The front end feels so much lighter and chirpier. No squeals or warps... Yet! Lol , now just to sell my old LCR brakes,

Front
- 370mm Audi TTRS discs
- 4 piston Audi RS3 Calliper (Brembo)
- Brembo Evo brake pads (anti squeal)
- Wieztec Custom front S/S Hoses
- removed dust shields

I would defiantly recommend this setup as there are a few TTRS's with 400bhp+ running these brakes and coping fine, although I have noticed the calliper prices rise recently.

Nice set up, how much did it all cost?

As above the total was;

Front: 772
Rear: 367

The only plus side was that my callipers included discs and pads for a RS3 which I sold for 150.

Which brings my total too;
1139
-150
=989?

But... Once I've sold my old stuff I'm hoping it would have cost me around £500 for the upgrade...lol

My cupra is really struggling to fire up now the weather is colder, bit concerned, also I opened the oil cap up and there is a thick milky layer on the underside?!

Got this done today. Properly easy job once you've got all the parts. Although did drop a washer inside the bonnet skin, which took took ages to get out. Thanks to Daniel M for all the advise on parts etc.

Can happen on the tfsi engines if they do a lot of short journeys. If you do take it for a decent run out over the weekend and see if that sorts it.

I've been using it to drive to the station for the past few weeks, so that would explain why! I'll have to take it for a nice thrashing at the weekend :)
