Apparently not mate, the kinks are enough to cause wear on the tyres and I get a vibration at 'higher' speeds. Thanks, I think I have found some on eBay that might fit the bill, kit much more than the cost a refurb. To be honest I'm just glad I found out what the cause is!

Coilovers bought and fitted to the car, it's not as low as I would of thought but it certainly does look a lot better than at standard height and I think the overall comfort is not much different from original.will put pictures up later if I get a chance.also hope to get an induction kit today

MOT this morning.

To my surprise it passed, with no advisories. They didnt even mention the small plate on the front. :)

If the weather holds out I might attempt the headlight tint and plasti-dip the badges.

Good day today, after the MOT went well I thought I might as well get on with tinting the headlights and spraying the front grille badge.

Headlight 50/50

Finished

Wrapping stuff is a right pain, and close up there are a couple of imperfections but happy none the less.

Now onto the badge, used plasti-dip and find it very easy to use.

And fitted :)

Badge needs touching up, which I'll do tomorrow. When peeling the excess off I caught a bit of the side. No biggy though, just a 10 min job for tomorrow.

Hopefully get the rear badge done tomorrow too.

Comments welcome.

Not a fan of the black badge (badgeless or leave it as is IMO) but you've done a great job. Makes me want to tint my headlights

Ordered some pressed registration plates from eBay for £20 delivered. Really pleased with the quality as the last 2 sets of vinyl/plastic plates I've had have had there imperfections and cost around the same

Um'd and R'd over the seat sport/Cupra plate holders.in the end I ordered some blank ones again from eBay for £6 delivered ,all fitted to day

If you do the rear badge you might end up with it sticking in the open position, there isn't enough room for the vinyl to fit in the clearance. Atleast I couldn't get it to work. Left it for a while then took it off as it done my head in having to get out when I started the car and heard the boot unlocking itself as it was in the open position!!

Thanks mate, been wanting to do the headlights for ages.

Cheers mate, never really liked the badge black myself, but want to make it all dark up front and I dont like badgeless ones lol, so this was my only option and I'm happy with it.

The badge will be plasti-dipped like the front one was, so shouldn't be an issue. :D

You won't have any issues with the rear badge/boot release mate. Mines been fine since I dipped my front and rear badges.

Also showing no signs of it peeling off since I did them :D

Yeah, I wasn't expecting to encounter any issues with it, plus I knew yours was fine. :)

Daniel your car is looking great what size number plate are you using?
Also is the font standard size?

Thanks mate. It's a 3/4 size plate from http://www.fancyplates.com/

No the font is smaller than standard ones, so unfortunately not legal. However it's passed two MOT's with it without a mention of it and (touches wood) never had an issue with the Police.

Doesnt look like dipping weather today!!

Doesnt look like doing anything outside weather today actually!

Nope, very disappointing weather today :(
