Been out to look at some bucket seats for my 280 and have a question that i hope somebody on here can help with.

The new seats are side mounted and need a few bits to fit the seat to the existing mounting points, but they were not sure about how much room there was for the seat belt (I am not ready yet to go fully racing harness)

I asked if they had a golf MK7 Kit and of course they do (being the most modded car in the range)

My question is are the MQB Platform cars (Skoda, Audi, VW and Seat) of 2014 vintage all the same mounting points when it comes to bolting in new runners.
I would suspect yes but just hoping somebody on here can confirm.

Thanks in advance.

I've seen Leon 3 with seats from Leon 2 and Golf 8 so I would assume that for the past 15 years the mounting points have not changed. I've swapped the airbag connectors myself in those seats from the photo.

OCD strikes again.....in preparation for when the lower boot liner arrives and gets installed, stripped all the stuff out of the boot, cleaned and polished the bare boot floor and spare wheel well - at least it's all factory clean for when the carpet gets put in! Will be a few days as i's a factory order, but in no hurry for it.
Whilst the variable boot floor was out, I've shampooed that as well, so that's sparkling clean too (and smells better than it did with having the dog cages sat on it!).

Have you got any sound deadening in the car?
If not it'll be worth to add it now while it's clean.

Yea I was thinking about that, but wouldn't know where to start to look for a suitable product. Any ideas? Thanks
Bought mine from ebay, on the estate its definitely worth it.
Makes a great difference and put some under the rear seats.

Heres a link to what I've bought and used;
Thanks for that, will look for this one elsewhere, as it's showing not in stock. If you say it's worth doing, then I'll take your advice!

@LeylandVCDS With only the alubutyl, there is no fitment issue. If you also add foam, thats a different story. Ask me how I know :ROFLMAO:

Advice: add the alubutyl under the rear seat and boot. But there is a high probability you also want to add it to the doors after you do that :roflmao:
