May sound like a silly question when I spray water around the seal what should I expect to be the the result - if there is a leak?

Defo something not right though it’s a constant reoccurring problem the rear window but yeah the car defo steams up very easily

Will empty car completely this weekend and monitor
If you take out the tailgate trim, there is a flap of metal in each corner from the tailgate (which is easily visible). In my case, 1 side had dirt on it. It was also where water found its way in, and corroded the tailgate lock + connector.

I doublechecked by spraying some water on the bottom of the rear windscreen, in the crease between the window and body and then put some compressed air on it. The water went straight in 🙈

After repairing, it also solved exhaust gases coming into the cabin ever so slightly

Finally got round to cutting out the back seat middle support bracket (circled in picture) so I can start the process of fitting the rear seat delete kit.

Test fitted today and so far just a little bit of trimming will be needed as this Kit is for a Golf MK7 and its very close but does need a little adjustment.
