The Leon is my 4th car.

1) Ford Ka - basic for a first car, slow but a bit go kart like, did the job.

2) Ford Focus Zetec 1.6 TDCI - nice car, had brand new, nice for long distance driving.

3) Alfa Romeo MiTo 155 Veloce - great to look at and very fast for a 1.4T and actually reliable, however for a small car the running costs are high and residuals dropping like a stone.

4) Seat Leon FR TDI 170 CR Supercopa - had it almost a year now, very nice to drive, looks great and lots of toys.

Ford Focus ST-3...... mainly due to someone pulling out in front of me and making me write off my car!! His insurance paid for it so not so bad and a tidy 900 profit on the focus.

Now driving a Mk 2 K1

We have a MiTo 155, can't say it has been that reliable but a nice little car none the less. Managed 48mpg on a run with it too. The seats are uncomfortable though!

The only thing mine did for a while was munch dipped beam bulbs, but once the "welcome" lights option was switched off that stopped. Other than that, nothing, so compared to a lot I was lucky. The seats I actually used to find really comfy - is yours a Veloce?

I do miss the fact that the little Alfa was such a good car to look at though, as much as I love the Leon with the kit, the MiTo is just so very different all the way around!

Yeah ours is a Veloce, I just seemed to end up with backache after a long drive, regardless of how I adjust the seat. It was the same in my Kia, comfy at first but really ached after an hour or so.

It is a nice little car and the sound is great for a little 1.4. I don't like the steering as it is rubbery, but on the whole it grips and goes well. The bulbs are the easiest to replace that I have ever come across too! My Kia took 3 mechanics over an hour to figure out, after I had shredded my knuckles for what seemed like an eternity.
