What does traction control actually do?

Does sound like something isn't right.

Are you able to describe what happens when you pull away quickly?

How many miles as it done? What state are the tyres in and what make are they?
Our Leon's only done just over 2000 miles in the 7 months we've had it, thanks to a combination of me working at home and commuting by train (Reading/Bath), and my wife using her Yaris for the grotty drive she takes through Reading 4 days a week. Not sure what make the tyres are, but they're standard fit.

So to be honest I need to do a bit of experimenting to get a better idea of what the TC does and doesn't do- I shouldn't judge it on one experience.

i have found that in wet conditions it is wise to leave on, but in the dry dont waste time turn the ****er off cos it is so fustrating when it cuts your revs!!
