The standard Ibiza Cupra engine cover is one-piece.

The Ibiza Cupra R cover that you've posted a picture of on page 1 has an additional carbon insert - I'm not sure if this detaches or is built in.

Do you want the standard Ibiza Cupra engine cover or the Cupra R one with the carbon?

6K0 119 512C is LHD as in left hand drive as in what you and I are driving.

6K0 119 512D is RHD as in right hand drive as in what UK have.

Nothing to do with two pieced cover.

now, would you suggest that i get the LHD engine cover, since my 20VT 1.8t Jetta is, well obviously LHD?

Can't just somebody take off their cover and look at the part number and this will be solved right away?

Here's a UK RHD MK3 Ibiza Cupra engine cover (excuse the poor quality - phone camera):

Part number: 6K0 119 512 C/D

So, going on what Flapper said, RHD specific is 6K0 119 512D

As Flapper said, and I agree on, it could be the throttle cable that makes the difference. Is your car an early MY or has it got DBW?

Just a thought. Why does your cover has both part numbers? Does it mean that there really isn't a difference between LHD and RHD?

i noticed when the pic was posted that 2 P/Ns were labled. can anyone provide top and or bottom pics of the engine cover to determine if the mounting points are different?

mmmm looking at the casting it would suggest that it is a base that is used in both parts, adding to that the rocker cover itself and any attatchment parts have no drive option at all so it is just a difference on the cover itself

it 'could' be as simple as the rhd has writing in silver and lhd hasn't to be honest - rather a grey area without having both side by side sadly

just looking for your pics of your car at present again as basically we need to figure out IF it is right for yours to start with

just to confirm that this a standard ibiza cover RHD as it's off RobbieC's car (ty btw)

bear in mind awaiting pics of the Bora/Jetta Engine that this cover is intended for which as yet may turn up completely wrong manifold wise


I know half of europe is off line now but if there is any LHD Ibiza Cupra mk3 owners out there willing to post a pic as above so we can figure out why teh difference is listed it would be appreciated - ty
