Every time my car is serviced it drives great for a couple of weeks then gets sluggish , i thought it was me getting used to the car , but its been a couple of weeks and the last 2 days the car has been really sluggish , not reving as easy and doesnt have the punch it had before.

so what happens when they service my car ?
i know on the MK1'S there was a throttle body alignment but i cant find anything to do with the mk2 on this , and i read somewhere that the dealer should do an adaptation full reset of the ecu?
i dont think its as easy as dissconecting the battery , i have done that before and made no difference.
this reset or what ever they do was also done when my fuel pressure sensor was replaced after that snapped off.
i thought maybe its just clean new plugs which gives it its smoothness and power but i am more convinced is more ecu dependant.
any views guys?

so is there some sort of adaptation routine that is run? i was recoomended to do this once but have no idea how?

Throttle body, EGR and manifold flaps can be run through basic settings where applicable, but we don't unless there is an issue.
