Eventually got round to removing tailgate badges, got the old rotary polisher out for the first time too as the boot was covered in scratches and this is the first time of using it.
Wow! got to get me one of those rotary polishers! looks good.
coke cleanup
dismantled the center console, stereo and climatronic unit today, since some pri*k didn't put their coke can in the holder properly this morning, had to stop and swerve suddenly and coke went bloooooooody everywhere![[:@]](/forums/styles/seatcupra/oldforumsmileys/furious.gif "Furious [:@]")
!! all down the buttons, gear stick, carpet & me!! wasn't too hard to pop the facias off on the stereo/climatronic though. none of the coke got to the pcb's so i'm not as annoyed as i was. needless to say, that passenger isn't getting in again lol. good 2 hours cleaning with ipa has made the car smell of vodka haha

replaced the orange dipstick tube that snapped off a couple of weeks back (plugged the hole in the interim).
I only collected mine yesterday, so today I took it for a drive down my favourite stretch of road and made a shopping list for payday

Got some new 16" (smaller) Team Dynamics alloys for my Leon FR TDI fitted with Dunlop SP Sport Fast Response tyres.
I'm downsizing to the wheel/tyre size used on the original Leon Cupra to improve the ride quality (higher profile tyres and reduced unsprung weight), save weight and (probably) increase fuel economy.
New wheels & tyres are a whole 4.2kg lighter per corner compared to the originals which weigh 21KG EACH
Still to fit but I expect to be refused cover by Swiftcover because it's a 'modification'

Bought 19" team dynamics imolas. In graphite. I originally wanted bbs ch style but as I went to gti inters every man and his dog had them ! So to be different I got imolas. Need spacers though as the wheel just touches the brembo.
drove her to work, parked her up, came back and she had been cleaned....slightly confused but then found out the boss paid for a valet as i had done well this week so massive result!!
