Changed all coilpacks in the vein hope that they will last the day on track tomorrow.
Booked another custom session at Badger5 for September.
Will see what it produces with the new exhaust upgrades.

Making remap enquiries at the moment. ProTune looking the closest with more bang for my buck too 110-143bhp (stage 1) anyone had any dealings with Protune maps? Other option close by was REVO but estimates at 125-135bhp.

I’ve not had dealings with either so can’t comment.
143 is a huge jump up. Thing would fly if the figures run true.
Yours diesel? Usually they map well and you get good torque gains= low end grunt to fling you forwards
Where about are you in the country? Don’t forget, Sometimes it’s worth traveling for the right things.
I do 2 hrs each way to see Bill down at Badger5, worth it for me. In. Fact going back in a couple of weeks.

Yeah it’s a TDi. I’m in Fleetwood, Lancashire so I’m restricted to where I can go from here. High chance of me going to the Protune guys for a chat tomorrow as they’re open till lunch :)

Well that didn’t go well, the place was closed up and their land line doesn’t exist anymore! Popped to Volks Workshop on the drive back (place that sourced my replacement gearbox) and spoke to the guys there. They offer APR maps and custom, have a dyno too, but Chris who does the mapping was away so I’ll speak to him in the week.

APR are damn good, custom mapping on the rolling road is usually better as it’s tailored to your car instead of a generic map. Either will be a big difference.

Yesterday got caught up with the cycle tour of Britain. As I'm not a huge fan of peddlers holding me up, I annoyed the bystanders with very loud music & a demonstration of Cupra power. Very satisfying!
User name is very fitting ....I come across them on country lanes all the time in 7.5t and ask myself...do they not like their families/life? Yes they can ride down a country lane but do they not expect traffic? One day someone will be in the wrong place at the wrong time and being the driver...will be my fault obviously.

Too true! I've had many hand gestures from petulant cyclists who blame me for getting in their way, regardless of whether it's safe. The day will really come when some cocky lycra twat bangs my car as they pass by. We've joked before that it would send the rage off the scale!

Where I live we have a very active horse community , sharing with cyclists and lorry's and car's ...its an interesting mix to say the least , suffice to say that sometimes the LCR is at normal operating temperature before I'm off the drive !!
