Finished replacing the old rear axle hub bushings for new Powerflex ones. What a b*tch of a job to do, never again!

Hard to say if anything has improved as the back was already stiffened (Sport shocks + H&R spring + Whiteline ARB). At least it hasnt become any worse ;)

Not today, but during the last week I've pulled the engine and gearbox out

And finally sent her away on Saturday:

3916 days of ownership have come to an end. Mixed feelings as when she was at full strength it was a great fun car, but the last couple of years made me enjoy her less. Water leaks into the cabin that couldn't be found were the worst, just fell out of love with her.

Ironically during the strip down I found evidence of water ingress at the welded joints on both C-pillars:

Been there myself.

If it's not the door seal check the pollen filter housing and cover.

I bought a new housing from the dealers (its not that expensive).
Don't over tighten it when refitting as you'll warp it (why mine was leaking) and then make sure the cover doesn't fold over when covering the filter.

I bypassed the n249 on my LCR. Not sure if there is much difference yet will test it fully tomorrow on the way to work.

Fitted my sun strip after putting it off for 6 months. Helped by a girl in the office it all went rather smooth! There's a few tiny bubbles here and there and a tiny scuff where a bubble has folded..... but all in all very pleased with the result!

Gonna give mine a good blast today as been away all week and have been driving a Mk1 focus tddi with what appears to be a dead turbo. Can't wait to get back into the LCR for some power :)
