What is the longest youve left a cam belt?

Cambelt interval on my last car (2001 Fiesta Zetec-S) was 100k or 10 years.

Every 40, 000 miles for me! Change the water pump also as only £25 extra!

I changed mine at 50K and 4 years! never risk it.

But my work mate HAD a mk4 golf gti and he got 110k out of his cambelt before it snapped and totalled his engine. He is an idiot with a peanut for a brain imo and i expected that from him!!!! he scrapped it in the end.
