I have had to fix my rear washer twice in the last 3 months, most recently today! -
The first time the pipe came off on the right hand side of the boot (under plastic trim seat belt goes into) making that side of the boot wet, most recently I had to fix it today.. this time it came off directly under the wiper in the boot causing the fluid to soak the bottom of the boot through the boot lock (had to remove boot trim and push it in again).
Its such a pain, I have added a higher concentration of screenwash today to try to prevent it freezing as easily. Today was 10 degrees so, it must have come off when there was that cold snap a week ago (even though I didnt use the washers during that time.. the washer still in the pipes must freeze) and using it today was enough to pop off the loose connection, as the jet worked for a second before it pop off.
Slightly off topic.. but are the washers checked during MOT? I know the wipers are.. my impression is that they expect any washers or wipers that exist to be working. For example my friends audi TT does not have a rear wiper by design.. so they cant test it.
