What Strut diameter

About to invest in new coilovers but not sure of my strut diameter.

It's an 07 2.0tdi refernce sport. Think its 55mm but was told to check the original part numbers for the car to work it out. 1t0 is for 55mm and 1k0 is for 50mm or so I have read. My confusion arose when I sent my vin to Dave at sere to check (cheers Dave)
Fronts 1T0413031FG*
Rears 1K0513029HA
Take it you go by the front part number?

Yeah its the front that matters the rear is just a shock absorber and they are all the same.
I would have said your tdi would be 55mm anyway.

Cheers Kev new coilovers will be ordered tomorrow. Just have to decide on wether to buy jom's or not

New set of Jom coilovers for less than 200 quid, seems very good value for money

The JOM coilovers cover both 50mm and 55mm in the same kit but your's will be a 55mm.

I am pleased i have seen this thread as i was going to ask the same question.
Could you confirm the size of the struts on my car?? 2011 SEAT Leon 2.0 FR CR170 TDi.

Like wise i have been advised it is "Probably" 55mm, but probably is not good enough really.

The AP kit comes direct from Germany so it won't be with you for the weekend but I'll get an email sent over with the tracking number once we have it.

Nope ... went for the more expensive AP Cilovers's.
Not only are they blue but from what i read you get a better ride with being lower.

Car is lowered 36mm in total ... ride is very little different on the roads i do ... obviously going over a cobbel street the ride is a little harder but the stability in the corners is far better.

Went for the Jom's in the end myself. Have had them on a while now and no complaints yet. Ride quality is good and they do allow you to take the car very low and still have a bit of comfort.

Great for everyday use but if you want a track day car I might opt for something firmer.
