Im going to be driving home to Monaco in August and plan on driving the 980mile journey...I figure it'll be a fun way of testing the FR's abilities!

Anyway, does anyone know if there is a 'spares' kit availible from SEAT, preferably one which has some fuses, bulbs, wiper-blades etc?

Furthermore, what should I check on the car before driving down, aside from the usual tires and oil?

Many thanks

M

I think in some countries (france?) You have to by law have a warning triangle, full spares kit (all bulbs etc) ... and half a mechanic's toolkit... I'll try to find more info.

I already have a warning triangle and flourescent vest.

I've had a look at the SEAT website and there is a spare-bulb kit which I will duly order, however, the other focus of this post is the things which arent obvious to check.

Check that the Seat Assistance covers you in Europe not just UK.

I'd also check coolant and windscreen washer levels and brakes depending on how old the car is or when last service was.

1) Headlamp convertors
2) GB sticker
3) Mirrored shades so the missus can't see you clocking all the top totty in Monaco
4) Camera to snap all the auto-erotica
5) Empty boot to fill up with booze
6) Large wallet - Monaco is expensive
7) Map
8) French phrase book

Oh, and I would defo go to Cannes for the day. Lovely place. Once stayed in a penthouse suite at the Sofitel there after a mix up with the rooms - my boss got the shoe box, I got the penthouse! He didn't realise what room I got until the last day!!!

I actually live a large chunk of the year in Monaco so I know the women to look out for but they're normally Russian and I can't afford them! Ukrainian services = yes. Russian services = need to remortgage the house!

Good idea to check the Seat Assistance Rob - Thanks!
