I done the same, used long nose pliers and turned the screws out that way, it takes a little while but once they are out you can replace them with regular screws. I used the screws that held the maf housing to the air box (didnt need them as I fitted a jetex cone)

To clean the maf i used CRC Maf Cleaner comes in a little spray aerosol little bit more expensive then the electrical cleaner at £9.99 but done the job well.

Are we sure this is a T20 security bit. I have a set and none of them fit. I'm sure the screw is a 5 start when the torx are 6?

A T20 security bit (S20) from a Draper set fits mine perfectly. Mine is a TDI 110: other engines might have different screws, though I can't think why they would.

Did it using pliers in the end as the bolts on mine are 5 star and not torx.

Anyhow. Got power back and then it went again. It seems to come and go so no longer think it's the MAF. Anything else I should check?

I found out it was my 02 sensor otherwise known as Lambda sensor under the engine and if any more probs then its my MAF, hope this helps.

Tried using a pliers as i did with the last sensor and failed. The outer diameter on these fixings now have a tapered edge so you cant grip them anymore.

Off to halfords later.

Anymore info on what this could be? Turbo goes so I re set Ign and I comes back however I'm sure it's much more laggy now and dent come in until later.

Will look at the lambda. It recently had the exhaust welded up to get it through MOT. Could this have done anything?

Cheers
