Here you go: Fiat 128 in the same Positano Yellow as the one in the pic. It handled reasonably well, had plenty of legroom in the front and legover room in the back 
However, like all Italian cars of the time it suffered from galloping corrosion. In fact if you stood close enough to it you could actually hear the rust forming. The design also had the dubious honour of subsequently being licence built as a Yugo and a Zastava.

First car was a 306 1.9 straight diesel. Cheap to insure and run. Was great 1st car, done loads to it full leather interior, gti wheels, ph3 clear headlights and a full vibe sound system. Those were the days

My first car was a 2000 Shitroen Spaxo 1.0l first ediiton, absolute base model job, only had 33k miles on it and i paid £1000 when it was 5 years old in 2005, had it a fortnight and binned it as you do when you are 17.
Insurance paid out £2300 for it though but claimed it all back over the forthcoming years with mental premiums

A "chocolate" AKA $hit brown 1.6GL Mk3 Escort. Surprisingly good after I did minor work on it and acquired my spanner skillz. Inspired the ex-BiL to buy a red one which turned out to be an utter dog.

I can't find a picture on my PC of my first car. I'm sure I've scanned it in at some point over the years, so here's a picture of my third car (which looks the same as my first apart from the first one had spotlights and a Peco back box. It was even the same colour).
This one was my 2ltr Crusader, but my first car, aged 17, way back in 1989 was a 1983 Y-reg MK5 1.6 Cortina Crusader....

ooo i like that, more my generation, sad to say i'm old enough to say its got a nice retro feel to it.
my first car was a Nova SR. 2nd was 205 1.9gti
My first car, after uni, was a Rover 214 Si. It was two toned, taupe top half with a dark grey bottom half. It has the 1.4 K-series engine which was fairly decent. I has a 12" Cerwin-Vega sub in the boot in a custom fibreglass and MDF enclosure I built. Happy days
