Yes agree they need to be brilliant white and in a sensibly looking position, I also want them to be legal so that means probably only the Ring LED’s although a thin strip would be look at lot better, but known of the ebay ones are ce marked. But the Ring ones will not fit well without cutting into the plastic mesh below the number plate.

The law can be found on this link (opsi.gov.uk/si/si1989/Uksi_19891796_en_1.htm) if anyone really wants to read it. If you want to call the lights you fit DRL’s then there is specific wiring and output regulations which need to be followed.
The easy option is to fit them as a second set of side lights then the only regulation I think that is of interest is that they cannot be fitted more than 400mm from the edge of the car and at any elevation.
What am I going to do? Not decided waiting for all this snow to clear so as I can get the car out.
