I would say you might be lucky to get 280 from stage 1 more like 270
Unless u have all the mods 3"dp race cat or decat, FMIC smoothed airbox and decent cold air feed all the silicone TIP boost pipes etc
Usually on stage 1 don't have all above already fitted!!

I have stage 1 CC which is good
Like sound of JBS VVT attack CC stage 2 they sound v impressive
Need FMIC before then
When 1st got car did track day with Seat motorsport at Goodwood
A guy there had Jabba map to 304bhp he didn't leave me that much on straights my car was standard then!!

This was back in 05 saw had open cone filter
Don't know what else had done obviously remaps etc

Think some one was blagging you as no k04 makes any where near 300bhp let alone over it , or he had a different turbo but the fact you saying he didn't really pull sounds fishy lol

I started reading this then saw the 2003!
