Right folks thinking about possibly buying another set of wheels for winter or possible general use, what is it I need to know about them to make sure they will fit? Does it have anything to do with pcd or something? As you can tell I don't have a clue about wheels ha.

Cheers Dan

They need to be 5x100 PCD to fit the Ibiza, you also need to factor in the ET and the width as well or you'll end up with wheels that sit out too far, or not far enough.

It can be tricky enough to get it all right, or at least I found it tricky anyway, so what I did was just looked for other 5x100 wheels in the VAG group, ie mk4 Ibiza, Fabia, Mk1 Octavia, Mk4 Golf, Polo etc.

As said, best thing you can do without getting too in depth is look at oem wheels from similar platform cars like the fabia, polo, A1 they will be hard to come by second hand but even gauging what you like and trying to translate the sizes, offsets etc onto an aftermarket wheel will make life easier

Why wont the standard wheels be okay in winter? Sorry I might of missed something.

PCD is the distance between the stud holes, in our case as said 5 studs 100mm apart - 5x100PCD

Width of standard alloys is 7j (Inches wide?) the alloys ive got now are 7.5j with 215/40/17 tyres and they fill the arches nicley now(just needs lowering now)

Just after another set of wheels marra either for general use or just to change it up abit or some a can throw on in the winter and not be bothered about them getting wrecked.
