Where did you buy your LCR crystal side repeaters?!?!

I ordered these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400159757148 a few nights ago and they turned up this morning so thought great I'll go fit them now, but no luck!!! This is the 2nd set of LCR side repeaters I've ordered and won't fit my car. The others we're from Awesome GTI.. http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/product.php?xProd=3868&xSec=352

I've taken some pics of the underside of the repeaters old and new and you can see the difference in size of the plug surround bit which is narrower than the old one.

Has anyone else upgraded theirs recently and is my LCR fitted with newer repeaters or something? There is no way they will fit without really forcing it, but I can see it snapping before it goes in.

Grrrr!! It's such a small and quick mod and that's what's annoying about it the most tbh. Just hassle having to send them back, again!

Yeah think your right tbh. I reckon maybe some of that wrap stuff like the fly eye headlight covers instead of spraying?

I wouldn't need to order much and easy to cut and wrap the repeater cover.

Lol, I will give it a good go and hope for the best!

Dan, did you use the headlight tinting on yours or was it someone else? Incase I feel like covering the oem one's. If yes, where do you buy it online??

Ok bud, well I've had a go and even tried a bit of grease on the plugs and then used a bit more force but no luck. They'll just break if I use anymore. Will send these one's back and have a search for some more on the bay.

Tinted one's ftw then do we think and not crystal? Actually think they'll suit my platinum more now than 1st thought.
 
is yours 04+ reg? As bulb holder design was changed around 2004 reg.

Had the same problem when i looked into changing mine about 6months ago, even went over to autoarts unit in leamington spa & shown them what they were selling as fit for the leon did'nt actually fit.:cartman::shrug:

Lol.. I know they shouldn't be selling these one's because it's misleading!!

I've done bit of research on ebay and I should have bought these..

This is in the text..
Both types of Side Repeater have different Bulb Holder fittings which are not interchangeable and this set of Side Repeaters is only suitable to replace the later Style with the Amber Centre. Please check that these are suitable for your Vehicle before purchase.

I'll return mine and order a set of those with the bigger bulb holders. Hassle!
