Does anyone know of any companies that actually fit Armrests for this car, I know the kit is available online but I don't have the tools and currently dont have the time, but I really really want an armrest.

Hi mate, I've never heard of anywhere but I'm sure most garages would be willing to do it if you supplied the parts and the instructions to fit it.

As said above most garages would be able to do it. At a guess they’d charge a hour labour so I’d recommend phoning around a few to get prices. The smaller independent places would be cheaper than a main dealer.

If you have one fitted I’d be interested in hearing how you get on with it. I’ve been thinking of getting one myself but I’m unsure if it would end up getting in the way of the handbrake.

Fitting one is fairly easy, but with the cutting can be easily cocked up!

Some garages won't want to do that kind of work, unless they are desperate, as an hours labor isn't worth it.

You may be better off seeing if there is a local member that would be willing to help you do it, there are a few different ways, and it can be fitted without removing the center console or seats.. but some suggest taking everything out is a better way to do it... and it would be cleaner that way.

You can use a hot blade to cut the plastic, I used a dremel to do mine, it was mostly guess work, but thankfully I got it pretty much spot on.

yes thats what you need. I fitted one to mine

Its great most of the time, and the only times you really need to lift it out of the way is if you park on a steep hill, as you can't get the leverage on the handbrake with it down - well I can't

I fitted one and it is an easy job, get the right one and no cutting is needed. 4 screws is all and easily done by sliding the front seats right forward for access.

Thanks for the reply, the car just went through its 12th MOT with minimal problems. So I may treat myself to an armrest this summer.

Fitted it a couple weeks ago with a mate of mine with the tools..the armrest I linked above. Fitting was fairly straightforward didn't need any extra bolts, although needed to cut more of the coin tray than I anticipated. Certainly wouldn't advise anyone to do it with a hot knife. Definitely need a dremmel. I also followed the guide off that German site that has a few other guides can't remember the name. The structure of the armrests were slightly different but bolted in at the same place . Didn't remove
Centre consol just loosened and lifted up . Couldn't get the right hand side bolted down just the two
On the left. It's okay for now though. Does get in the way of the handbrake but you get used to it.

Sorry to open thread up again, I tried fitting my arm rest today took the screws holding console in and lift up. I cut the coin holder out. when sitting in the back i mounted the bracket as facing forward one prong to the left which had the extended bolt on, and the other two to the right.
this is where my lines aimed upto.

my next issue was attaching the arm rest. i couldn't get the arm rest holes to line up with the mounting bracket to screw together . pictures to follow later.

Which armrest did you buy?
