got an aerial that is approximately 1m long; retapped the thread to suit the seat aerial holder and hey presto!!

Great mod... let us know how you get on fitting it... getting the OEM aerial off is pretty hard.

Yeah don't be scared to pull extremely hard to get that aerial off. Felt like the whole roof was coming off when I struggled to remove mine!

lol, yeh... just stand behind the car.... unscrew it as much as you can, one hand on the base of the Aerial give it a massive... and unforgiving pull.

Just fitted new aerial, old one was abit tough but not too bad really.

Will post pics in my readers ride thread, got a couple other things to do atm

I got one of those autoleads inline amplifier conections it really helps the reception well recomended dont get it from Halfrauds Ebay all the way baby just search for this VW SEAT SKODA AUDI Amplified DIN Aerial Adaptor PC5-90
