Alpine iDA

i do love the look of the iDAs! [B)] had an Alpine previously and couldnt fault it.

how easy are they to fit? Did you have any problems getting the ipod connection through the back of the dash?

I had to take the lower dash out to make sure it fitted securely. Only because I fitted a signal booster, and it takes up 110% of the small space available. Means if anyone breaks into my car, its going no where without removing the dash.

I used a modified coat hanger to feed the USB cable from the stereo to the compartment infont of the gear stick.

Is the signal booster recommended then?

nice idea with the coat hanger. I'd ideally want to have mine in the glove box, do you reckon that'd be difficult to do?

Have you taken out the cd changer as well? would be nice to have a decent sized glove box that you can actually put things in.

Mine never had the changer in it....

The glove box is EASY. 3 or 4 screws and its out.

The booster is recommended if you change the aerial. I have a C2 one, and its diddy. Also reception where I am is fairly pants... so not totally needed. But nice at times. And at only £11.00 on eBay I thought, for piece of mind its useful. I don't know why I bothered though really.. I NEVER listen to the radio, lol.
