Ok my front springs have snapped on my Ibiza Cupra tdi

I have not got a big buget at all but I have found these two options

1.http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/fk-ak-street-coilover-suspension-kitbr-ibiza-6l-12-14-14tdi-cupra-fr-18t-19tdi-20-0202-p-7708.html

2.http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/jom-coilover-suspension-kitbr-ibiza-6l-12-14-14tdi-cupra-fr-18t-19tdi-20-0202-p-8161.html

So was wondering if u had too choose one of these sets which one would be best all round

Also does anybody know what the ride quality would be like on both these sets

FK AK, just bought some myself, fitting them after work today!

Both are good to be fair, but I really like the FK AKs as a lot of my mates have both (fk and jom)

U said ur fitting them tonight after work so qwick question
Am planning on doing mine myself also but what I wanted to know is how do u set up the ride hight on them
Do u set them In place or on the deck before fittin them

Plus do u need to track the car up or anything after fitting them

Am hgv mechanic so am good with tools engines etc but truck serspension is completely different to car. I have changed springs and serspension arms on cars.

What worrys me is people say about problems after fitting them becasuse i have only changes serspension what are standerd and want to make sure am not missing anything that needs adjusting or changeing

Ok mate,

When fitting them its up to you to choose how high you want it, they are easy to adjust with the c-spanner, but its dependent on what you want it like to start with before you chose the correct height, I'm not fitting my rear spring heigh adjusters, just going slammed, on the front im going most of the way down to see what its like then hopefully all the way!

Your top mounts may need changing (cheap off ebay) and you will need shorter drop links, mondeo or puma, cut them shorter and weld them if your slamming it.

The car will need tracking done!

Hopefully that helps,

cheers,

Sam

Cheers yes it does will I still need new drop links if only lowering 30mm because I can not go any lower than that due to the road I travel down to get to my works it would bottom out so I can only go 30mm max

You won't need drop links if your only 30mm lower.

But you'd be better off buying shocks and springs. Neither of those two coilover sets are very good. The ride on both of them will be horrible.

IMO, and having tried most setups, I'd opt for spending a little more and go for the Weitec GT shock and spring kit.

agreeing with vroomtshh here, i'll be spending a bit more next time. My APs are ok but i've managed to scrub the arches on the front giving it some beans and i'm only down 45mm... not quite hard enough for me

They arrived! £199.95, free postage and next day!
From DPM on ebay and this is what the kit included!
