Which types of a 1.8 20VT will fit a 6K

Hello,

I've got a question about engine swap.
The engine I've got now is a 2.0 16v ABF engine and want to swap this for a 1.8 20vt.
Which engine codes will fit?
AGU, AYP will fit without much modification. Only a engine strut has to be replaced.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Where I'm really interested in is, will a BAM engine fit in a 6K with the same modifications as a AYP or AGU?
And what is the best option for changing the engine without a lot of extra costs, like changing gearbox and that kinda stuff.

Fit a Mk3 Ibiza rear engine mount to any 20VT and use your existing gearbox.

So your telling me that my gearbox will fit a 1.8 20VT?
Is it also possible to use the peddles (Gear peddle, brake peddle and gas peddle) for a 1.8 20VT on my gearbox?
Cause I've bought one and that's for electric controlled not cable

You'll need to decide what engine management you're using - that'll determine if you can use the same accelerator pedal.

Your 02A gearbox is going to fit fine to any 1.8T

Thnx I know BAM is expensive.

Just looking for a good option, and what is best effort.
I can get a AYP engine and mount a K04 turbo on it.
But I'm not sure about the downpipe if that will fit properly.

It depends on the engine I can get. So if it's electronic controlled I need a different gearbox than my own.
