whiteish smoke

My ibiza cupra tdi is smoking white. Its when you put your foot down in higher gears I get a puff of white/grey smoke then it goes away. Its had this all the time once it has been mapped just wonderd what it is. There is no loss of performance etc. It has a custom map, full milltek aswell.

i think i have noticed a similar occasional puff of smoke under hard acceleration.

Just a little overfuelling as the turbo spools up due to a remapp.

i never meant to say strongest lol

im not sure what the word is but my mate has a starlet glanza and the turbo noise is loudest in 3rd gear and i was told that your turbo is best in 3rd

imo mines is just as good in all the gears

If the smoke is just a haze and not thick it can appear whitish blue in certain light.

White can also mean coolant.

Grey smoke with accompanying noises can indicate that the compressor wheel is contacting the housing. (bearing/s worn)

i've only noticed it recently, like you said, a whitish haze, when the sun is low & behind me

so is this looking serious

how could i get it checked out (cheaply )
