Front and rear top mounts for the coilovers. Just gotta figure out how to fit them and wait for some decent weather now!

Waiting for one more delivery before I make any more purchasing ! Sparks plugs is next on the list I think.

Loving the mods bud the colours awesome to.

Not to Hi-Jack the thread but With the sachs clutch and SMF is it a case of just bolt out the standard clutch and flywheel and bolt in the sachs uprated conversion or do you have to do any modifying to fit the SMF and clutch in ???

Your feedback would be much appreciated as looking to uprate mine but just a little put off by the fact a lot of people have moaned about the SMF vibrating and that I'm not sure how easy it is to fit the Clutch and SMF ???

Also how do you find your poly dog bone engine mount?Just had mine fitted and car feels alot more planted on launch although that has reports of causing vibrations too?

What are you looking to achieve with your LCR??

Cheers mate, with the Sachs smf and clutch as far as I'm aware its a straight fit, iv not noticed any chatter or juddering at all to be honest. I was expecting something but nothing really. I was told by the garage that the Sachs kit is lighter than the standard dmf so I'd of thought that could only be a good thing. So basically its a lightened flywheel and I did notice a hell of a difference.

With the dog bone mount it was a cheap and simple mod. But less lurch and everything just seems more planted and no wheel hop. Just got to make sure its tightened up right, not too much and not too soft if you know what I mean.
With the car its self I'm not looking for big figures or anything I just want a kinda OEM+ look if you get me. An improvement over how it came out of the factory. Plus a few upgrades along the way! Iv got coilovers to go on to improve the arch gap to get it sitting nice other than that just get the original headlights back on poss dewiper the rear and maybe a few more subtle changes.

I'm not sure if you've looked at the guides on here for fitting coilovers, but I found this to be by far the best one:

http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=166838&highlight=guide

I found having a blow torch to hand was very useful in helping me undo some of the rusted bolts/nuts; no sheering, etc. Hope this helps :)

If you're doing your wishbone bushes whilst your down there, Ronin's guide was the best one to use. For all of the above, I hadn't done anything like this before and thoroughly enjoyed doing it. Very simple tbh :)

klkl just wondered wether my local garage could fit it as a direct replacement due to it being 100 miles nearer than Amd and I dont wanna risk clutch going.Glad to hear some good positives from urself with the sachs clutch kinda makes it feel worth the dent in the wallet.

Yeah I had both dog bone bushes done when I was at Amd and I happy with it to,like the way you wanna keep it sweet n simple but guarantee you get carried away

I will keep an eye on this thread :)

I guess it depends on what coilovers you went for and whether you want to go lower than the coilovers allow with them fitted. I removed mine as I have the Static+ AirLift modules fitted. It might be best to ask others who have had their bumpstops fitted/removed. Sorry I can't be of more help there...

Nice example mate, very tidy with good mods. And in the best colour too :D

I know how the Piper sounds with a decat and it's pretty special isn't it! Liking what you've done so far. This project is very up my street as you can probably guess when you've read my build.

What's next? :)

Thanks, it looks ok but it's not a glass grommet is it? I'd want a flush discrete one

It is pretty flush but no its not glass I think you would have to see a specialist for a glass piece.Grommet stays in just fine all weather though bud and if you really wanna de wiper the rear thats the easiest option just my opinion though n by the way nice LCR :)

Anyway we must stop hijacking this thread feel abit rude my apologies

Well the coilovers are now on. Here's an old before picture

And now after the coilovers where fitted

Only took an hour to do the rears and then anothe half hour after I did the fronts to re adjust them! Took out for a spin and all seems ok but started to get a slight creaking from the front so ill see if that settles down or not. The way the car handles now can only be described as its like its on rails. I think a mix of the coilovers and powerflex bushes was the best way to go. Totally different car to drive and its not too harsh either!
