Yeah I'm impressed with how it sits and I thinks it's just the right height! Just need to figure out what the creaking is now! It's had all new top mounts and bearings!

Mine started creaking and after a good look around with the car on a ramp I found that one of the rear springs wasn't sitting properly, might be worth a look???

Ok mate.

And no creaking after coilovers or since they were fitted. AmD replaced the top mounts when they fitted them, I've heard these can creak after. You sure it's defo the coilies?

Yeah I replaced the top mounts on mine, I'm thinking maybe I should of greased them up before fitting. There is a very slight gap at the top mount at the top. Iv had it off and put it on again so ill see how it is tomoz. Can't believe how te car handles now its something else!

Well I took it for a good run out to Nantwich last night with the misses to a wedding and it totally eat up all the corners its was awesome ! And some of the creaking has gone! Did bottom out on the splitter after overtaking a taxi on a dip but the coilovers are well worth the money! After coming from a scooby and a civic type r the ha fling was the only thing that let the car down really but now its better than both to me!

And decided to give it a quick clean and supagaurd today along with the misses's ibiza.

It's only a temp job till I respray them but it will do.

And may have located what's causing the creaking! I disconnected the drivers side drop link and when jacking the wishbone up and down it doesn't do it, as it did do it with it connected when jacking it up and down!

Well not really done much to the car just bought some new bits to start getting it ready for the tidy up mission

Managed to pick up a wing that was still in origional state from what I can tell as my passenger one has got three dints in it and the colour match is off, came up a treat after some scratch x and deep shine polish

null-14.jpg

Also managed to finally get a forge service kit through the post so changed all that over.

Dismantled

New and old

Cleaned out with new rubbers

All greased up

And all back together

null-27.jpg

I have definatly noticed a difference in the car it seems to hold boost smoother through the rev range now so its got to be an improvement no matter what forge say.

As you can see the bumper is in dire need of a respray and that is on the todo list to get done soon along with fitting the new wing I got. It's coming along slowly. Hopefully coil packs will be soon with plugs now, I'm getting around to it all slowly!

Only a little change, not done much to the car recently been bush with other things recently, but bought a tow strap from oulton park when I was at the BTCC so decided to make a mounting for it out of the tow bolt. Basically cut it drilled it and tapped a 8mm thread in it for a bolt, added a couple of washers and hey presto ! May not be to everyone's taste but just something I quite like.

Cheers mate, the ap's and the bushes are brilliant mate. Not too harsh over bumps etc just firm at its improved the responsiveness of the steering it feels more direct, I know where the creaking is coming from just not sorted it yet, its creaking from the arb bush there is a sleeve on the bar for the bush and its that that's knackered so need to either replace the arb or take the bushes off remove the sleeve and fit a 17mm bush instead of 19mm. Ill pm you in a bit about the sfs mate

Mine is knocking the same from the arb but plan to change the arbs soon so I'm not bothering rebushing them.

How low is yours?

I don't know how much lower in mm it is but its fairly low hardly any gap between tyre and arch , I ended up dropping the rear a little more, it does catch alot but my splitter is knackered so sits lower anyway
