Looks **** 17" minimum on a Leon there to big to run small wheels even 17" are to small , some times being different isn't good this is one of them , your never going to be able to go low enough the sump will sit on the floor before that arch gap gets taken up so the answer is no you can't go euro

waaaaheyyyyyyy!

picked up my new wheels after faffin around and figuring how im going to get 16"inch borbets on a leon .... all for £380 with tyres thanks to my best buddy ebay!

well ive done it after grinding most of my front calipers down to get them on

back wheels went straight on, front needed to grind some of the side of the caliper and 10mm spacers ....... BOOOOOOOM!

All wheels are sitting on 165/50/16 with 9J on the rear and 7.5J on the front

hope you like it ...... oh and before you say im waiting for my coilovers in the post, but currently on 40mm lowering springs

Think its horrible looking tbh. But if you like it, that's all that matters...

Also bear in mind that your speedo is now ~10% pessimistic, based on a switch from 205/55/16 (standard 16" multispoke on the pre-facelifts) to your 165/50/16, and that's without accounting for the stretch. So I'd be very careful and get a GPS app for your phone or something, else I can see your next thread being "I set a speed camera off but my speedo was on 30"

Wouldn't his speedo be "optimistic" now? Seeing as the wheels have a smaller circumference so they'll rotate more quickly in comparison so the speedo will read faster than it actually is?

I agree,if we all went for the same look how boring would that be ?

I reckon if the tyres were std size it would look better plus u'd be able to loose the arch gap

Plenty of ppl on here have lowered on 16's & looks good

People beat around the bush it looks crap because the wheels are to small the wheels them self are lovely if they was 17"-18" they would suit the car down to a t but there not so they look crap i say it how it is and it's not just me that's said they don't look good nearly every post says there to small tbh I couldn't care less it's not my car just stating the truth when any one asks for an opinion
