Will remapping my 08 plate Ibiza FR invalidate warranty?

As title says.
On previous car (vectra sri) i had a DTUK box fitted which i was happy with. I've priced a DTUK box for my 08 plate FR Tdi and it's £330 which is roughly about the same price as a remap- i beleive.
I liked the box i had as it was easily removed before going into dealers for servicing etc, but as a remap is around the same price as a box for my car and is the better option from the 2- i was wondering if a remap would invalidate the manufacturers warranty. Does anyone know if it will or not?

i think several on here have remaps whilst still in warranty, persoannaly i think it should depend on what goes wrong ie clutch, turbo then warranty should be void but say if its suspension or your cupholder it shouldnt be an issue.

truth is, they aint likely to find out you've had a remap.

others will inform you with better knowledge than myself soon no doubt.

having had a remap myself i can certainly recommend p-torque, breathes new life into your drive!

the map will only effect the warranty on clutch, turbe or engine componets that fail because of the remap. i have ha dmine mapped and its been in for warranty work and i have never had a problem.

Edit: i have a P Torque remap

The revo switch is fine for fooling the dealers but I don't think it's going to be so easy to fool the insurance company if the car gets stolen/recovered or smacked up and the driver (you) has a broken leg.

the insurace company are less likely to notice then the dealer. we deal with them all the time at work for damaged vehicles and i have never seen them test drive or plug the car in.:)

Any map can effectly be 'turned off' with UniSettingsw/Lemieinks, just a case of turning down the loading to about standard levels.
