wind deflectors

ive just ordered some as im a smoker and i get fed up with the water dripping on my leg.

has anyone fitted them as i hear they are a pain in the behind to fit is there a nack to fitting them?

mine went in alot easier than on my corsa . just bend them a little but but obviously not too much as they will snap, then put the window up and downa few times.

Yeah as said just kinnda bow them a we ebit and they go in fine, just member n check that they are right bhind the seal at mirror end or the window stops half way up n goes back down, been there done that lol

well they turned up and just fitted them but the windows want to keeping going down again on the wing mirror end theres a strange bow in the deflector its self which is whats stopping the window anyone else got this or are mine deformed somehow??

If memory serves me correct, this can be reset. I think you need to locate and remove the fuse for the electric windows. The ECU should recalculate the load on the window motor to the new tension the window seals are now exerting on the glass. I may be wrong but, worth a try.

Hi mate, did you get them of a german bloke off ebay?
I had mine off there and with a bit of messing around there fine. i had the same problem with the window retracting all the time.
Found out this was due to the plastic frame nearest the wing mirror catching the window slightly, so with a bit of adjustment you can make it miss by pulling it away from the window.
Mines been fine ever since.

Well I sorted the wing mirror end with heat and a file now its actually catching at the other end LOL
