windows

well i have got my windows working now since not working since i bought my cupra 3 1/2 weeks ago what a pain in the a*se its been.it was in at the local seat garage they swapped both the motors and got them to work but i cant operate the passeger side from the drivers switch.any help.they said there might be faulty wiring some where please help

If you've paid them to sort it out surely they should do it?

yea but they said it may take a good few hours to trace a break it a wire etc just thought some folk on here would be able to help if they have had the same problem or if there was anything that i could do thats all

Do you have a test light?

havve to replaced the switch itself?

Yeh my guess would be its just the switch! They probably swopped the duff switch from the drivers side driver window on to the drivers side pasenger window.
If that makes sense! I did it when my drivers side switch packed up takes 5 seconds to do until u buy a new switch

they said they had checked the switch and said it would be a faulty control unit or a break in the wire some where do you hink there trying to scam more cash out of me

try the switch yourself take it out and swap it for the working one. It will only take a few minutes but at least you will put you mind at ease that it isnt that!

yea i will try that tonight and see what happens.hopefully it will work but not sure what to do next if it does not work

If it doesnt work try cleaning around the pins that connect together, take the door card off and check around the motor do the same. If all of this fails while the door car is off you will be able to trace back the wires to see if there is any damage.

If it doesnt more than likely they havent sorted the motor! Can you hear a clicking when you try the switch?

yea get a clicking noise from the passenger side button.and get a clicking noise for the drives side to operate the d/s.but when i go to use the d/s for the p/s there is no noise at all.i tried swaping the switches and it works so what can i do next help
