In my own little world.....
[:@][:@]

I'm only mad because I've just had the car serviced and a cam belt change, in preparation for a new SS exhaust (this year it's look after the car year and a few treats for her here and there)

Firstly I do not think it has anything to do with the garage as they are a well respected local family garage in my area.

I have just driven home with only intermittent wipers - basically I cannot push the stalk up to the 1st and 2nd position in anyway - it feels like something it stopping it as it's not even reaching the 1st clunk.

I'm just so stressed about it all, (I'll calm down in a bit after Vodka) as the service and cam belt change costed £380 and I now think it will be another bill as I think you have to take the steering wheel off to get as these?

I've just rung the garage and they will have a look on Monday for me, but I'm still feeling GRRR about it......

Has anyone else had this happen to them?

well after closer inspection then contact had burnt out and the "gears" on the stalk would not move up out of the whole made from the broken contact (thin copper bits) so the boyfriend - bless him - has modified it and fixed it!

A case of maybe wear and tear, but could be that I don't sometimes put the wipers on fully and just push it up till they move, who knows....

Interesting!

I too have this problem! A symptom might have been the smell of burning and smoke!!!!

I'll have to take it off and have a look! Hope its repairable as thats the stalk with the MFA!

If you need help - I can get my boyfriend to let you know how he did it - just remember to disconnect the battery before the air bag (if you have one) comes out!

Cheers for that!

I'll take a look at it and if I can't locate it easily I'll be back!

I'll try and take a picture and post it up here for future reference.

Cheers!
