Wipers stopped working

hello all need some help as title says my wipers stopped working in heavy snow the other morning , i checked the fuse under the dash and that was fine so i went to the dealer and brought a complete new wiper stalk,i have fitted that tonite and it hasnt cured it(waste of 40 quid) the only thing the wiper switch will do is the trip computer nothing else ive used the search button but cant find nothing, any helpwould be much appreciated

check fuse again, i did this a few weeks ago but im cheap so i didnt buy a new wiper or anything aha

Is it easy to fit a wiper stalk? My rear wiper keeps going off by itself. It was a 10 minute job on one of my earlier cars - but that was in the days before airbags!

Ive checked the fuse a couple of times and it hasnt blown,so i havent got a clue what to do next, yeah there not to bad to fit pretty straightforward really.

sounds like ur wiper motor!

yeah sounds like your wiper motor!, burnt it out pushing all the snow off your window

yeah either that or the linkage has fell off the motor . gottaibiza try flicking the button on the end of the stalk that turns off the intermittent wipe .

I tend t flick it into wash/wipe mode as I find that works better. If I clout the end of the stalk (as though it's a bottle of ketchup) it tends to keep going. . . . bl**dy thing

Cheers for your advice its all sorted now after taking the wiper motor and that out,it did turn out to be the fuse, to look at it it didnt look blown but i put a multimeter on the fuse and it had a really fine break rite in the middle so wasted 40 pound on a new wiper stalk but at least that shouldnt go wrong now(fingers crossed) lol

no mate it didnt it come with both stalks and the ali bit that holds the ignition barrell and that was 40 quid genuine seat, but it also depends on what other functions your stalks do ie if you have esp,cruise control,trip computer etc
