If you run it with boost controller then it will only cut in with high boost.

However, Revo recommend running with a warning light on the dash so you don't dial up the timing and then cook the block when it runs out.

Everything tells me this is the way to go, but I hate temporary solutions, and I don't like the idea of lights being carved into the interior.

The boost cooler kit has a lower pressure pump and thats a rather large controller, also limited to only the TFSI, the Devils kit is universal and you can go with a 1 or 2.5 gallon tank.

Also you could set the progressive controller to only come in at high boost.

My bro runs the DVC-30 kit on his golf MK4 running a IHI Jabba kit with some very good results.

They all ahve a controller which are either map of maf controlled. MAP goes via boost levels, MAF goes via air intake levels.
The controller has two dials to set, one for turn on, and one for full spray, so you set it according to logging.
I use the washer fluid tank on mine, which is huge so does not need filling up that much.

how hard are these to fit and set up?will any decent tuner be able to handle it and how many hours work will it take?i read a review on the benifits of this in a mag not that long ago, seems like a worthwhile upgrade, but warrens right, not sure about the led having to be fitted inside. also, how long would you get on that tfsi specific one before you need to refil. and how much will it cost to refill it every time?

Refill will depend on the size of your tank and how often your using the kit.

Methanol is quite cheap at £34 delivered for 25L, if you then mix that with water for a 50/50 mix you've got yourself a fair bit of fluid.

I Prefer running off a MAP sensor myself because there are many things that effect boost levels vs just airflow.

I pick up 25Litres of methanol for under £20, and the distilled water slightly cheaper.

Thats an impossible question im afraid. Im not the best person to ask either as i dont boot it much. depends how you drive. always in boost? Im hardly either.

Remember you have an on and off switch so you dont have to switch it on unless you having a blast :)
Mines always on, though as i say I rarely drive hard.

@ Owen - You should give Steve a phone before you make any concrete plans on this. I spoke to him yesterday, and you probably should too.
