Mine's had it's problems and they (touch wood) all seem to be sorted now.

I still love it though!

It's gonna need consumeable like pads and tyres soon however, but I knew what I was letting myself in for having owned a powerful FWD before. Just not with such enormous wheels and brakes! :cartman:

I'm sure it's tempting fate, but mines fine!

It's got a couple of rattles and had a few very small problems but I've had it 3 years now and it hasn't cost me a great deal apart from in petrol!

As has been said people only talk when there is something bad to talk about.

18k miles this year? Yes. Problems? No. Unreasonable tyre or brake consumption? No. Fuel consumption? Ok, forget that bit.

Love mine to bits and wouldn't change it for anything even close to the money. It is important to note that most of the people on here are car enthusiasts and want to get their pride and joy absolutely perfect.

General Leon owners, excluding us Seat.net members have happy motoring for years withourt any major probs. An enthusiast will always notice slight differences/ problems with this and that.

It's true that the leon does have its niggles but for the money, quality and performance it cannot be matched by many car in its group. And the niggles usually are just that, small irritations that can usually be easily fixed.

You should be happy and v. excited.................Enjoy

You're right all cars have problems and as enthusiasts we are more likely to notice the small things than your average motorist.

My dads got a Boxster S and has had work done on the gearbox under warranty and my mum has got a Subaru Legacy (Subaru often top the JD power survey) and has had a few issues.
From my experience with my car, it's no better or worse than either of them.
